The widespread fishing activities of Simunovich Fisheries, a New Zealand based private company are described. The manual system that was in use for information management and coordinating the operations in the company has given way to more sophisticated installation, the CODA-intelligence. The efficacy of the software program is evaluated.

Global climate data network nearly ready

Article Abstract:

Argo is an international program that will provide information on global climate from 2007. Two thirds of its robotic fleet is already installed across the globe for collection of the data. The advantages of the data from Argo for fisheries are discussed.
