Plantation shares feel sting

Article Abstract:

Plantation stocks, the top performers in Malaysia's weakened stock market in 1998, may suffer from the nuclear tests conducted by India and Pakistan. However, numerous analysts deem any sell-off as an opportunity to buy. Pakistan, possessing fewer than $1.5 bil in foreign reserves, faces more immediate urgency to diminish imports than India does. However, most analysts anticipate the plantation industry to continue as the pick in spite of any aftermath from Pakistan and India.
