President Enterprises tries to create a new wage policy

Article Abstract:

President Enterprises Corp has begun an ambitious program to overhaul its outmoded compensation system. The Taiwanese food company, which retains a Japanese-style wage policy, is making tentative steps toward its eventual goal of making performance rather than seniority the primary consideration for wage increases. The bold move is part of the company's restructuring program, which aims to increase profits by winning back market share across its product range and by introducing new products that cater to the upscale retail market.
