Product review: design technology

Article Abstract:

The size of computer notebook designs varies greatly, depending on cost and the need of the end user. Toshiba Libretto is as small as a standard filofax, making it incredible portable but difficult to work on for long periods of time. The Adios desktop is a notebook with personal computer proportions, which makes it easier to read but not very portable. Architects need to be able to access data, which can then be transmitted using internet facilities, or printed as a hardcopy.

Computing

Article Abstract:

Computing is becomming easier and cheaper. Architects will find they use computers for many functions, not simply for computer aided design (CAD) applications. Simpler multi-tasking and exchange of data between applications will enable architects to improve all stages of their work.
