PruVen bags its big deal

Pruvential Venture Managers (PruVen) has recently completed the buy-in to Allied Domecq's global tea and coffee business, underwriting 60 million pounds sterling of equity, with the intention to sell down about 20 million pounds sterling. Tetley is a UK market leader and most of the existing management will remain. However there will be major management changes in the US.

The Bank of Scotland has added a number of regional offices to its structured finance team. Offices have been created in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Paris and Frankfurt, employing a total of 60. The team, which has also seen some personnel reorganisation, handles 200-300 deals annually, with a value of over 3 billion pounds sterling.
