Article Abstract:

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has recently proposed many investment-friendly economic policies in the annual state-of-the-nation speech including an abolition of inheritance tax, an amnesty on those bringing money back into the country, a curtailed bureacracy and to rein in tax inspectors. Also he has supported a pro-democracy business privatization law. The Russian economy is growing but has been crimped by lack of confidence and politicians have expressed concern over the growing authoritarianism of Russian authorities.
