Technology company, Creative Solutions, in Singapore, is owned by Sim Wong Hoo and it specializes in providing the sound effects for computers. However, increasing competition has encouraged the owner to develop his market and he now wants to promote multispeaker systems which are linked to personal computers and can produce sound from a variety of sources. Sim has been buying firms in the Unites States which deal with multimedia products. His strategy is risky because customers may not want to use his system or think to ask about a computer's sound system when buying it.

Lexmark rises to a challenge

Article Abstract:

Lexmark International Group Inc has successfully developed a computer printer which can use Chinese-made paper. Lexmark was challenged to make a printer which could use paper which were uneven in quality, very light and dusty, rough and full of ragged edges. The other factors considered were the electrical voltage needed to transfer the printing ink and the environmental conditions in China's vast areas. Lexmark's printers have become accepted in China due to their faster printing speeds, better resolution and competitive prices.
