Chief Executive Officer Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. is holding an open microphone at the annual meeting of shareholders of the reinsurance company. Colorful sidelines of the annual meeting include the "Berkie Babes" and the Yellow BRKers who provide offside entertainment. The reinsurance company is currently being investigated by United States regulators.

CEO says Allstate adjusts storm plan

Allstate Corp. of the United States has had to alter its strategy in calculating claims in the wake of Hurricane Katrina because the worst hit areas cannot be reached first, the insurance adjusters are starting from the outside going in. Damage estimates are estimated to be $100 billion overall, with $14 billion to $35 billion in insurance payouts.
