Report criticizing BP's controls is investigated after alterations

Article Abstract:

A United States federal investigation is under way to probe changes to a report by Alaska state authorities concerning the British Petroeum Company PLC of the United Kingdom. The petroleum company received a 2002 report by Alaska state authorities criticizing its actions on pipeline corrosion and leaks at Prudhoe Bay oil field in Alaska. After British Petroleum Company PLC complained the report was altered by Alaska state authorities.
