CALL RATES FOLLOW DOWNWARD TREND

Article Abstract:

Call money rates for overnight funds opened at 8.90 percent and closed at 8.75-8.85 percent in the interbank call money market on February 18, 1999. The 8 percent fixed rate repo of the Reserve Bank of India attracted a single bid of Rs1000 crore. The 11.40 percent year 2000 security was dealt at Rs100.27 while the 11.55 percent year 2001 was dealt at Rs100.25. (khr)

SILICON GRAPHICS PLANS TO LAUNCH UNIX-BASED SERVERS

Silicon Graphics plans to launch Unix-based servers and workstations. The move will help consolidate its position in the market. Under the Unix segment, it will launch Silicon Graphics 320 and 540 visual workstations. The company has recently launched NT-based products.
