SEIKO EPSON SHIFTS HQ TO BANGALORE

Article Abstract:

Seiko Epson Corporation has shifted its Indian headquarters from Chennai to Bangalore in order to acquire a more pro-active role in computer peripherals. The company has set up offices in Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi and plans to set up additional service centres at 10 other cities in India. It has projected sales of 130,000 printers in 1998-99. The company will soon introduce its range of digital cameras in India along with multimedia LCD projectors. (khr)

INGERSOLL-RAND SHIFTS CORPORATE OFFICE TO BANGALORE

Article Abstract:

Ingersoll-Rand (India), a subsidiary of Ingersoll-Rand Inc of USA, has decided to shift its corporate office to Bangalore from Mumbai. The price of real estate and rentals in Mumbai are high. So, to reduce its costs, the company has decided to shift its office to Bangalore. It is not likely to shift its registered office to Bangalore as majority of its shareholders are in Mumbai. (rk)
