CTV Entertainment Ltd of Chennai, owners of the Sun, Udaya, Gemini and Surya TV channels, plans to launch the Sunworld TV in USA and Canada to cater to south Indians living there. It will be a 24-hour pay channel with 4 south Indian language channels - Sun TV (Tamil), Gemini TV (Telugu), Udaya TV (Kannada) and Surya TV (Malayalam). The channel will start its operations in 2 months. It will be transmitted from Chennai. CTV Entertainment Ltd is holding talks with a USA company for operating and marketing the Sunworld TV. This will prevent unauthorised copying of television programmes and movies.
