Self catering holidays abroad

Article Abstract:

In 1993, the self-catering holiday market was valued at 5.4 billion pounds sterling, representing a 43% rise on 1989. Estimates for 1994, suggest that the market grew 10.5% to 6 million pounds. Of total volume, 12.8 million self-catering holidays were taken abroad, compared to 8.9 million in 1989 and an estimated 14 million in 1994. Market data is provided, along with details of supply structure, advertising, distribution, consumer profile, and forecasts for the future.
