Article Abstract:

Ethnic war broke out in Liberia once again as the 1995 peace agreement started coming apart. The deposing of Roosevelt Johnson, an ethnic Krahn and the leader one of five factions in the coalition government, caused his faction, Ulimo-J, and eventually all Krahn factions to revolt.

Approximately 2,000 Liberian refugees were permitted to dock in the Ghanaian port of Takadori after many miserable days at sea on a cargo boat. Liberia's brutal civil war shows few signs of ending, despite repeated peace agreements.
