Shipment planning at oil refineries using column generation and valid inequalities

Article Abstract:

An optimization model offering solution for shipment planning problem in oil refineries is presented. The problem relates to routing the ships and planning which products should be transported in these ships. The inventory levels at the oil refineries, storage depots and demands can be well integrated by using column generation, valid inequalities and constraint branching.
