Australian research into: Lobsters' 2000 km journey

Article Abstract:

The Australian researchers are using computer modeling to study the relocation of billions of ornate rock lobster larvae by the sea currents. The study will help in planning harvests of the lobsters in Australia and surrounding areas like Torres Strait and Papua New Guinea.

Traceability day looms-but few are ready!

Article Abstract:

According to new regulations all seafood being imported into Europe will have to have legal tracebility. The regulation will be effective from January 2005 but it will take at least another two years before every supplier is tracebility compliant.
