Singapore split

Article Abstract:

The 17th Singapore International Film Festival was held from April 15th to May 1st, 2004. Several films showing political and social concerns were screened but six works (out of the 300 shown) were either banned or significantly censored, thus showing split tendencies on the part of the Singaporean government.
