Article Abstract:
There has been a revival of interest in the works of LS Lowry and Stanley Spencer, two British artists, and prices of their works have risen. Spencer was born in 1891 and painted until he died in 1959, His works have been described as mystical and original. Lowry used only three primary colors, and black and white, and painted workers in bleak backgrounds. Similarities have been drawn between Spencer's works and those of Diego Rivera, while Lowry can be located among northern European expressionists.

Article Abstract:
Two geophysicists from Oxford University are studying to determine why oceanic plates and continental plates are different in size and density. Two theories are that the continental plates are made up of smaller plates, or that they are not stiff but viscous.
