Skandia posts loss but optimism helps to lift its stock

Skandia AB posted a 2.99 billion Swedish kronor (328.8 million euros) operating loss for the 2001 first-quarter. The company posted 2.2 billion kronors in operating profits during the same period in 2000.

Gambro posts lower earnings; president of key unit quits
