Skoda Energo comes to the Turkish land

Article Abstract:

Skoda Energo (SE) (Plzen, Czech Republic), power equipment supplier, will participate in the installation of two complete gas-steam boilers in Turkey from 2001. The firm has arranged a contract worth CEK 7 bil on the project with Instroenergo Group (Slovakia) and Tekfen (Turkey). SE will realize jobs worth CEK 5.8 bil within the contract. More than CEK 3 bil of the sum will be represented by production and design. It is the biggest contract in SE's history and the firm's first contract in Turkey. SE saw a gross profit of CEK 200 mil under proceeds of CEK 3.2 bil in 2000. In 1999 it saw an unspecified loss under proceeds of CEK 3.4 bil. The firm became profitable due to extensive restructuring. The number of SE's employees decreased by 25% to 2,382 at the beginning of 2001 compared to 1999, within the restructuring.

Elektrarny Opatovice sells the activities that are not connected with its production

Article Abstract:

Elektrarny Opatovice (EOP) (Opatovice nad Labem, Czech Republic), heat and electric power producer, has sold its 39% stake in Isoplus-EOP (Czech Republic). The stake was acquired by the majority shareholder Isoplus Fernwaermetechnik (IF) (Austria). IF held a 51% stake in the firm before the acquisition. Besides the stake from EOP, IF wants to buy the remaining 10% stake from Moravskoslezske teplarny (Czech Republic).

Teplarna Otrokovice plans to invest CEK 80 mil in 2001

Teplarna Otrokovice (TO) (Otrokovice, Czech Republic), heating company, plans to invest about CEK 80 mil in 2001. CEK 40 mil of the sum will be invested in the installation of a hot water pipeline to Napajedla, the Czech Republic, CEK 30 mil in the major overhaul of a chimney with a height of 173 mt and the ongoing reconstruction of a chemical water treatment plant.
