GM seeks marketing presence on Toyota 's Internet site

General Motors Corp., announce negotiations with Toyota Motors Corp., to use Toyota's web site gazoo.com to market its products to Japanese consumers. General Motors plans to increase its share of the Asian market to 10 percent by 2004, utilizing electronic commerce.

Nissan simplifies the system

Softbank unveils string of deals, including toys effort

Article Abstract:

Softbank Corp has announced plans to forge three new venture capital funds in the US and Japan, in an effort to strengthen its appeal to foreign Internet service providers. Company officials believe that the move, which seeks to raise more than $1.7 billion in total funds, would not only help Softbank dominate the local venture company industry in Japan, but would also enhance its profile in the US venture capital market.
