Solving fuzzy solid transportation problems by an evolutionary algorithm based parametric approach

Article Abstract:

The Solid Transportation Problem (STP) is a result of setting limits on three item characteristics. The Fuzzy STP (FSTP) is present when the nature of the data problem is fuzzy. The FSTP case is considered in which the fuzziness affects the constraint set and a fuzzy solution to the problem is needed. Also, an arbitrary linear or nonlinear objective function is examined. To obtain a fuzzy solution to the problem, a parametric strategy is employed to determine an auxiliary Parametric Solid Transportation Problem (PSTP) associated with the original problem. An evolutionary algorithm based solution is proposed for the solution of the PSTP.
