Somebody's busting sanctions

Article Abstract:

The CIA is claiming that Iraq and Saddam Hussein are stronger this year than last because Jordan is allowing them to smuggle through vital goods in defiance of United Nations imposed sanctions. The US is pressing Jordan to allow them to patrol their border with Iraq.

Unsaddamisation: Iraq

Article Abstract:

The US recently proposed to the UN that sanctions against Iraq should continue while Saddam Hussein is still in power. The UN has also put in place a measure banning the sale of oil by Iraq until it disposes of its weapons of mass destruction.

Sanctions on Iraq

UN economic sanctions should be lifted because innocent Iraqis are suffering and the sanctions are having no effect on Saddam Hussein. Ending the sanctions i s difficult, however, unless Saddam Hussein makes some concessions.
