Source effects in purchase decisions: the impact of physical attractiveness and accent of salesperson

Article Abstract:

The categorization theory is used to confirm the theory that physical attractiveness and accent of a salesperson influence purchase intentions of a potential buyer. Physical attractiveness is generally perceived as connoting competence and integrity. A standard English accent is largely preferred over a foreign-accented English. However, the study is geographically limited and does not extend to other products and services to establish a global precedent.

Market orientation and organizational performance: A comparison of industrial versus consumer companies in mainland China using market orientation scale (MARKOR)

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to investigate the reliability and validity of market orientation construct in different socioeconomic, cultural and business environment of Asia. The managerial and public policy implications of the study are discussed.

Article Abstract:

The effect of ethnocentrism on consumer behavior in Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan is discussed. Marketing strategies for foreign firms that may enter the region are provided.
