Article Abstract:

The Internet has provided reference libraries with much more information in a convenient format than has ever been available before, because even though CD-ROMs are also available, they are sometimes expensive and harder to use. The Architectural Periodicals Index (API) and the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals are now available online and in CD-ROM format, which are updated regularly throughout the year. The Avery-CD is good for simple search criteria, whereas the API-CD can be used easily for more sophisticated queries.

A web of intrigue: Anti-corporate messages spread like wildfire on the internet

Article Abstract:

Oil companies have been targeted by environmental pressure groups over the years, but the internet has provided activists with a major boost. There is a vast Internet audience that can pick up on anti-corporate messages. Using the internet to manipulate the value of a company's shares is also a growing problem. It is important for companies to acknowledge the culture difference between the Net community and the corporate world, and to avoid actions and language that imply they are in charge.
