Seeking to unsnarl Taiwan's red tape

Article Abstract:

Taiwan is starting to restructure its rigid and bureaucratic system to attract more foreign businesses and investments so as to sustain its plan of further economic growth. Estrada reforms chickenfeed? That would be a start

Article Abstract:

Phil. Pres Joseph E. Estrada's efforts to establish long-term economic development in the country remains a dismal failure for the actor-turned politician. Estrada is particularly criticized for his intentions of amending the constitution. The move, according to Estrada, is aimed at eliminating protectionism in international trade. Critics think otherwise, citing the constitutional change as an outlet for seeking another presidential term.
