Stock Plzen wants to participate in the privatization of a Polish distillery

Article Abstract:

Stock (Plzen, Czech Republic), spirit producer, plans to acquire a stake in the distillery Polmos (Zielona Gora, Poland) in a consortium with Vin & Sprit (Sweden). The consortium would like to acquire at least a 80% stake in the Polish distillery. Each of the partners will acquire an equal stake, which will cost DEM 30-45 mil, nearly CEK 800 mil. The Polish government has chosen the consortium as the exclusive partner for further negotiations about the privatization of the distillery. The negotiations should be completed by the end of 1H 2001.

PCC invests in Plzen

Article Abstract:

Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) (US), aircraft component manufacturer, plans to build a second production hall in Plzen, the Czech Republic, after 2001. PCC commissioned the first production hall in Plzen at the beginning of 2001. The hall has over 30 employees during the first stage. Their number should increase to 300 after the start of full operation. PCC plans to invest a total of about CEK 1 bil in Plzen. CEK 200 mil of the sum was represented by costs on the construction of the first hall.

Holzwerke Wimmer will build a plant in the Czech Republic

Article Abstract:

Holzwerke Wimmer (HW) (Germany), wood-working firm, will build a mass wood structure production plant in Zdirec-nad-Doubravou, the Czech Republic, in 2001. Investments in the plant will be USD 20 mil. The plant will be directly connected with the current saw mill of Holzindustrie Schweighofer (Germany), which processes over 300,000 cu mt of timber per year in Zdirec-nad-Doubravou.
