Strategic Product Creation: Managing New Interactions of Technology, Markets and Organisations

Article Abstract:

Strategic managers in dynamic markets are finding new ways to sell their products and services through recently developed technologies such as the Internet. Previously unconnected product markets have been linked together to establish new territories for both new and old products. The manager has to become familiar with many companies and the network of information services which passes between them. Management strategies are more traditional for stable product markets.

A conceptual framework for understanding the outsourcing decision

Article Abstract:

A conceptual framework to help managers to identify and implement outsourcing decisions is presented. It is suggested that the wide range of problems associated with outsourcing can be lessened if the outsourcing organization uses contractual and related strategies. References to 'transactions cost' literature are included.
