Conversation management

Article Abstract:

Recent research indicates that many companies do not give enough emphasis to the unique phrases and concepts they use in their internal communications, even though this language is extremely important to company strategy. It is therefore important to consider ways in which strategic conversations which are focused on the future of the company can be managed and developed. Attention should be given to the amount of time which is really set aside to discuss strategic issues.

Article Abstract:

Managers who are able to make new distinctions and ensure that these spread rapidly throughout their company into shared practices will place the company at a strategic advantage. Within this process, knowledge development plays a key role, providing the driving force for distinction making. It is vital to avoid value judgements such as the concepts of entrepreneurship and creativity, as these tend to stop people from asking the most important questions.
