Struggle to revive stock

Article Abstract:

KFC Holdings (Malaysia) is facing a battle to revive its stock, which dropped in mid-June 188 as a result of a move transferring the ownership of the Wisma Idris building to Idris Hydraulic (Malaysia), a company controlled by KFC top shareholder Ishak Ismael, without payment. KFC and Idris attempted to resolve the issue by agreeing to reverse the deal, but the issue is complicated because Idris placed the building as collateral to a financial institution. Many analysts predict that even if the building is recovered, it will not be adequate to resurrect KFC's stock because nobody is going to put trust in the company again. In addition, KFC stock will fall further unless the company responds to issues about whether KFC's owners are acting in the interest if minority shareholders.

Cantonese cooking in crisis

Article Abstract:

Cantonese cooking in Hong Kong is suffering from a decline in quality that is blamed on the changing aquaculture practices in China that have altered its taste and quality. The discovery of faster-growing fish species and the use of chemical additives in fish culture has resulted in bigger fishes but at the risk of quality and safety. Cantonese cooking, renowned for the freshness of its food, has also suffered from the fact that the once abundant waters around Hong Kong has already been fished out.
