Article Abstract:

Radiomobil (Prague, Czech Republic), telecommunication firm, had more than 450,000 clients on its GSM mobile telephone network at the end of March 1999. The firm registered 373,000 clients at the end of 1998, 120% more compared to 173,000 at the end of 1997. The number of GSM mobile telephone users increased by 70% on the global market during the same period. The firm had 32,000 clients at the end of 1996, the first year of its operation. Radiomobil has invested nearly 10 bil Kc in the development of its network Paegas and is preparing further investments. The company's proceeds rose by more than 100% to 6.5 bil Kc in 1998 compared to 1997. The firm saw a pre-tax profit of nearly 1.2 bil Kc and a net profit of 643 mil Kc in 1998. Radiomobil saw a loss in 1997.

Birmingham, a celebration of success

Article Abstract:

The city of Birmingham has undergone a facelift, particularly its centre, which was noted for the development of the Bull Ring in the 1960's. There are now areas of conservation in the city centre. Pedestrian areas are being introduced in the centre, and new forms of public transport are being proposed. Inner city areas have been revitalised using 100 million pounds sterling investment.

Article Abstract:

The Calgary Zoological society faced an immense marketing challenge of launching Destination Africa state-of-the-art wildlife and plant exhibits to position the attraction as an African experience in the minds of consumers. The sights, sounds, smells and temperatures were designed to replicate those found in Africa and provide the experience at a fraction of the cost, time and effort.
