In 1997-98, TDL and its subsidiary acquired 21 percent stake in RDI Printing and Publishing Private Limited for Rs736.16 lakh. TDL has declared a 45 percent dividend for 1997-98. SPICES TRADING CORP POSTS RECORD PROFIT FOR 1997-98

Article Abstract:

In 1997-98, the Spices Trading Corporation Ltd (STCL) posted a record net profit of Rs305 lakh (net loss of Rs27.94 lakh in 1996- 97). Its net worth has turned positive at Rs281 lakh (negative networth of Rs11.59 lakh). The improved performance in 1997-98 is attributed to a 202 percent increase in sales from trading activities to Rs3,646 lakh (Rs1,199 lakh). STCL has declared a dividend of 7.5 percent on an equity of Rs150 lakh. It has projected a turnover of Rs5000 lakh and a pre-tax profit at Rs200 lakh for 1998-99. (gsh)
