TURKEY: A HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION PROJECT

Article Abstract:

The General Directorate of DSI has launched an international invitation to tender for a feasibility study concerning the Ducze Aksu hydroelectric power station project in Turkey. This Build Operate Transfer (BOT) project involves the construction of a 41 megawatt hydroelectric power station which will produce around 144 gigaWatt hours per year. Companies interested in carrying out this feasibility study may order the specifications directly from the awarder at Ankara. The applications must be submitted by 10 April 2000.

COSTA RICA: HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION PROJECT

Article Abstract:

The Costa Rican Electric Power Institute Sabana Norte has launched an invitation to tender concerning the recruitment of consultants who can carry out feasibility studies for the Borucana hydroelectric power station. The consultants interested in this program must submit their offers to the awarder before 23 February 2000. The construction of this hydroelectric power station project will be financed by the Inter-American Development Bank.

TURKEY: A CONTRACT FOR ENERGOMACHEXPORT

Article Abstract:

The consortium which consists of Russian company Energomachexport and the Turkish company Insaat-Ozdemir Insaat has won the invitation to tender concerning the Torul electrical power station and dam. The Sabanci Bank PLC England has guaranteed US$ 94,235,430 in commercial credit.
