Article Abstract:

Gurumangalam International, Ahmedabad, proposes to launch a new range of quartz clocks. It plans to market these clocks under the brand name, Gravity. The clocks will be priced at Rs50 per piece and will be aimed at the Indian youth. The clocks will be available in sets of two pieces. Gurumangalam International hopes to sell around 150,000 pieces during the first day. It also proposes to launch new sweep technology quartz clocks. These clocks will be priced at Rs550 per piece. Currently, the demand for clocks is around 18 million pieces (nine million pieces in 1990-91). (ag)

KLR RIGS DEVELOPS FIRST INDIGENOUS DRILLING RIG

Article Abstract:

KLR Rigs Company has designed and developed the first indigenous truck mounted hydrostatic core-cum-DTH drilling rig. The 700 metres drilling rig has been developed for Mining Associates of Asansol. KLR Rigs also manufactures tractor mounted rigs and earth moving machinery. It has tied-up with Cubex Ltd of Canada to sell Cubex products in India. (khr)
