Talks founder on merger of Neptune Orient and TUI

Article Abstract:

Negotiations between Singapore's shipping firm Neptune Orient Lines Ltd. and Germany's TUI AG regarding a potential merger have reached an impasse, as reports indicate there are disputes regarding leadership of the new company and that TUI shareholders oppose the deal. Potential scenarios include a share swap making Neptune a segment of a TUI unit, with Neptune's parent company, Temasek Holdings Private Ltd., taking a stake in TUI.
