Telefonica agrees to sell its 75% stake in Endemol

A consortium led by investment firm Cyrte Fund will purchase Telefonica S.A.'s 75 % stake in television production company Endemol N.V. for $ 3.56 bil. The buyer consortium also includes Italian broadcasting company Mediaset S.p.A. and the private equity division of Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Telefonica to pay $4.2 billion for full control of its mobile unit

Telefonica S.A. of Spain plans to buyout the 7.5 percent stake it doesn't already own in TelefonicaMoviles S.A. for 3.5 billion Euros ($4.2 billion). Telefonica S.A. is the largest telecommunications operator in Spain and Latin America.

Telecom Italia deal still on hold: Telefonica awaiting regulators' approval in Brazil, Argentina

Article Abstract:

A consortium led by Spain's Telefonica S.A. is still awaiting approval by Brazilian and Argentinean regulators regarding its agreement to buy a controlling stake in Telecom Italia S.p.A. The $5.78 bil bid was offered back in May 2007.
