Kosovo, continued

Article Abstract:

There is a need for ground troops to be used by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to end the war in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. The number of civilians accidentally killed by air attacks is likely to rise, and a peace agreement is needed for the refugees to return, either through negotiations or a settlement imposed by using troops. The air war should be intensified, and combat troops should be built up in the region, cutting Serb troops off from their supply lines, and clearing territory to permit refugees to return.

No end in sight

Article Abstract:

The conflict in Yugoslavia has lasted for three weeks and could be prolonged. Yugoslav president, Solobodan Milosevic, can be said to have achieved his goal of reducing the Albanian population of Kosovo, Yugoslavia, and the North Atlantic Treatyu Organization (NATO) has not achieved its goals. It is difficult for NATO to prevent paramilitary actions in Kosovo by using air power, and the air strikes have been greared to persuading Milosevic to seek peace, and allow refugees to return to Kosovo.
