The burden of being Japanese

Article Abstract:

The rising sentiment against Japan in China and the likely cause behind it are examined. The example of Toshiba, which offered to replace the defective laptops with new ones to American users while refusing to settle similar claims by Chinese, is but just one example, which has only contributed to the worsening of relations between the two Asian countries.

The Chinese leaders continue to raise objections to the visits of Japanese prime ministers to the Yasukuni Shrine in China to honor their dead. ChinaEs contention is that Class-A war criminals are being honored at the shrine.
