Vitkovice (Ostrava, Czech Republic), engineering firm, and Lang Fang Pan Xing Industrial Group Company (China) have set up a 58:42 joint venture. The joint venture will be involved in the designing and supplies of environmental systems. The joint venture's expected annual capacity is 10-15 sewage treatment plants or environmental bio-gas stations. Currently, the firm is installing equipment for the environmental disposal of sewage with the utilisation of bio-gas from the process for power purposes at a farm with 5,000 heads of cattle in the Chinese province Hebei. The equipment's operation testing should be started in the first half of 1999. The worth of the technological set is about 36 mil Kc.

Tesla Sezam (Roznov pod Radhostem, Czech Republic), electrical engineering firm, accepted a new development programme in 1999. According to the programme, the firm should produce 1,100 four-inch silicon boards with integrated circuits per year by the end of 2000. Besides, the company should extend the production of enclosed transistors and integrated circuits from 1.4 mil pieces to 6 mil pieces per week. Investment costs on the programme are 20.2 mil USD.
