The heights of evil

Article Abstract:

Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler developed totalitarian regimes, but there were differences between them with Russia's lasting longer. The idea of man being perfectible, which is false, was important in Russia, which became the second biggest superpower world wide. Hitler sought to impose leader worship in Germany, and believed that some races are superior, with a fanatical hatred of Jews. Both men were involved in mass murder. Both signed a pact at the start of the 1939-1945 war, and both used camps, which were labor camps in Russia.

Article Abstract:

Peter the Great of Russia developed a police state which used slave labor. He set up the Russian navy, developed mining, manufacturing and canal transportation, and controlled the dress of Russian barons. He tried his son for treason, and had him tortured. The son, Alexis, had fled into exile, but was ordered to return or be captured, and promised a pardon, though instead he was tortured, and later found dead, probably because of the suffering he had endured.
