The judges who rule Congress

Article Abstract:

Congress is constrained by interest groups, and this has hampered reform in a number of areas, including gun control. Yet some action can be taken through the courts, and gunmakers have had to face legal action that has led Smith and Wesson to agree to submit itself to a range of restrictions to avoid prosecution. Courts may contradict Congress, which voted against those gun control restrictions in 1999. Judicial activism could lead to controversy where there is a lack of support for legal decisions.
