NH Trans (Ostrava, Czech Republic), transport company, generates a turnover of nearly 3 bil Kc per year. The firm is focused on the transport of parcels with an excessive mass. The company has a perfect system of mainly railway transport, which utilises a special deep-well railway car of the type Uaai. The firm transported a generator with a mass of 178 t, a height of 3.7 mt and a width of 3.3 mt from the port Melnik to Kladno in 1998, among others. The firm had to keep a temperature with a tolerance of 5 degrees of Celsius inside of the generator during the transport. The generator was intended for the construction of a power station with an output of 350 MW.

Punch International (PI) (Belgium), engineering firm, wants to build a plant in Hranice, the Czech Republic, after 2000. The plant will produce mechanical metal picture-tube components. The new plant will be built near a picture tube production plant of Philips, which will take its components. PI's investments in the plant will be USD 17 mil. The plant will have 200 employees.
