The relationship between ethics and firm practices in Russia and the United States

Article Abstract:

The establishment of code of ethics, and ethical and moral standards has become crucial for the transition of economies which are moving towards more transparent and democratic systems to encourage trust with potential trade partners and help attract foreign direct investments. This is evident from the patterns revealed from the data collected from 112 U.S. and 74 Russian firms.

Ethics in international business; multinational approaches to child labor

Article Abstract:

After analyzing if 50 leading multinationals follow the universal ethical norms (related to exportive HRM) or relativist ethical norms (related to adaptive HRM and multidomestic strategies). Though some multinationals follow the universal ethical norms, managing the ethical dilemmas shown in case material and strategic trade-offs are outlined.

A comparative study of the contents of corporate codes of ethics in Australia, Canada and Sweden

Article Abstract:

A comparative analysis of codes of ethics in 78 Australian, 80 Canadian and 39 Swedish corporations is presented. The similarities between Australian and Canadian codes are observed and the reasons for dissimilarities with those of Sweden are examined. The effects of cultural differences on the codes are also discussed.
