The rights of man: contraception

Article Abstract:

Two groups of researchers in Scotland, one at Edinburgh University and the other at Glasgow's Strathclyde University, have announced the development of a contraceptive for men. One approach attempts to suppress follicle-stimulating hormones, while the other attempts to destroy them.

Within limits: media freedom

Article Abstract:

Many Latin American countries are establishing restrictions on the press since investigative reports on political corruption have become more prevalent. Panama, Peru, Venezuela and Argentina are a few of the countries who have passed, or are planning, laws restricting the media.
