The whine of success

Article Abstract:

Currency traders are worried that world finance ministers may take action to raise the value of the Japanese yen against the American dollar. The yen has dropped by 30% since 1995, reflecting Japan's economic decline. Artificially propping up the yen is economically unnecessary, but is seen as a political necessity.
