To traffic hell and back

Article Abstract:

Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking to reduce traffic congestion, which has become increasingly serious in the city. Atlanta was built for car users, and the residential areas are at a distances from shops and offices. There has been a great deal of investment in roads, and little investment in public transportation. This is changing, especially since Atlanta was told in 1998 to set up a transportation plan to reduce air polution levels, in order to obtain federal road funds. The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority has the task of developing such a plan.
