Trading plastic

Article Abstract:

Small to medium-sized traders are now using common credit cards in place of the letter of credit or LC. This development has lead to the creation of a dedicated credit card for international buying and selling. Early in 1998, Chicago's International Services Inc. launched the Global Business Forum Merchant Program, which enables merchants to take credit card payments from MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, Carte Blanche or JCB. The users can also charge international business expenses through the program's GBF VISA Business Credit Card.
