UK: Aberdeen Asset Managers to withdraw fund

Article Abstract:

Aberdeen Asset Managers will give up its GBu 8.1mn Fund of Investment Trusts, which invests in split-capital investment trusts' shares, as its assets are decreasing. The fund, which has fallen by 52.1% in the three years to 19 November 2001, will be incorporated into the GBu 1.2bn Aberdeen Fixed Interest unit trust. Aberdeen denies that the poor performance is the reason for merging the fund with the unit trust.
