UK: BFS INTRODUCES WRAPPER FOR INVESTMENT TRUSTS

Article Abstract:

BFS Investments has introduced the self-select ShapeIT wrapper for its split capital investment trust range. Investors can select any from the range of nine trusts via a Pep, Isa or portfolio service. Risk assessment tools and fact sheets are provided in the accompanying support pack for IFAs, with the 'trust finder' tool enabling investors to ascertain the most appropriate split capital share according to their investment goals and risk profile. A 3% initial commission can be paid to IFAs, with a 0.5% renewal commission. However, some analysts believe the savings plan is limiting and could prove costly as IFA commission is added to the investment trust charges.
