UK: EDINBURGH BUYS PORTFOLIO FUND MANAGERS

Article Abstract:

Portfolio Fund Managers has been acquired by Edinburgh Fund Managers in a deal valued at GBu 20mn which will be tied up in August 2001. The purchase will give Edinburgh a GBu 8.3bn total assets, and the fund of funds will be renamed Edinburgh Portfolio. Portfolio is being disposed of by parent Liberty International.

UK: RLAM ACQUIRES UNION FUND MANAGEMENT GROUP

Article Abstract:

Royal London Asset Management is paying more than GBu 4.3mn to Union for Union Fund Management Group, cash and liquidation fund specialist. It has paid GBu 3.54mn cash and in June 2002 will pay an extra sum, according to fee income.
